We write code as people who accept operational responsibility. Every technical decision is made knowing that whoever picks up the pager, if it fails, is the person who made it.
We are not an agency. Aguiar Labs is a studio of exactly one senior engineer, who takes on a handful of clients a year and treats every product as his own.
We work with radical transparency around architecture, cost, and trade-offs — even when that means recommending you don't build it.

How does your engagement work?
One to two weeks of technical and business discovery, then weekly sprints shipping to production. No status meetings that could have been an email, no agile theatre.How long does a typical project take?
It depends on scope. An MVP typically takes 8 to 16 weeks. A legacy rewrite, 3 to 8 months. We estimate transparently during discovery — no padded numbers.Do you maintain what you build?
Yes. Continuous evolution for as long as it makes sense for the product. 24/7 on-call with an SLA is a separate operations contract — not something every project gets by default. If your team eventually takes over operations, we do a documented handover.What stacks do you use?
We choose per case, but our base is TypeScript/Node, React, Next.js, Python, Postgres, and infrastructure on AWS, GCP, and Vercel. For AI: OpenAI, Anthropic, and open stacks where it makes sense.Do you work with clients outside Brazil?
Yes. We serve companies across four continents. Contracts in BRL, USD, or EUR depending on geography, communication in Portuguese, English, or Spanish.How does pricing work?
Fixed price by scope for MVPs and finite projects, or time-and-materials with a cap for products under continuous evolution. We define it together during discovery.
